- Managing and coordinating complex national and international defence projects while adhering to schedule, quality and budget requirements
- Responsibility for the contractual execution and management of project assignments in cooperation with customers, partners and authorities
- Preparing project plans, status reports, and decision papers for internal and external communication
- Preparing well-founded decision papers and coordinating topics beyond the scope of one’s own decision-making authority
- Handling customer enquiries and preparing quotations based on qualified cost calculations
- Conducting project meetings, ensuring a smooth flow of information within the team and maintaining a focus on achieving defined project objectives
- Identifying and assessing risks and developing appropriate mitigation measures
- Providing technical leadership to an interdisciplinary project team
- Managing project finances in close coordination with Controlling
- Conducting and moderating project meetings and reviews
- Negotiating contract amendments and additional claims in coordination with the relevant business unit management
- Ensuring complete project documentation and structured reporting
- Presenting the company and its product portfolio
Your qualifications & knowledge
- Completed degree in a technical field such as engineering, industrial engineering, or project management, or an equivalent qualification
- Several years of experience managing complex projects in the defence or security-related sector required
- Sound knowledge of contract and project management, preferably in accordance with IPMA, PMI, or PRINCE2 standards
- Experience working with public-sector clients and military procurement processes is an advantage
- High level of responsibility, strong assertiveness, and excellent communication skills
- Fluent German and good English skills, both written and spoken
