- Systems engineering for command, control, weapon and mission systems (C4ISR) in the field of software and hardware development
- Analysis of customer requirements and derivation of system, subsystem and component requirements
- Creation and maintenance of system specifications, interface descriptions and architectural concepts
- Development and integration of software and hardware components into complex overall systems
- Execution of system design, system modelling and system architecture activities (e.g. MBSE)
- Planning, coordination and execution of integration, verification and validation activities
- Technical coordination with internal departments and disciplines (software, hardware, mechanical engineering, testing and quality)
- Support in the preparation of proposals and effort estimations
- Technical management and support of subcontractors and partners
- Participation in system acceptance activities, technical reviews and customer presentations
- Ensuring and documenting system functionality and performance
Your qualifications & knowledge
- Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a comparable field
- Several years of experience in systems engineering of complex technical systems
- Solid knowledge of software and/or hardware development
- Experience with command, control and weapon systems or safety-/mission-critical systems is an advantage
- Knowledge of systems engineering methodologies (e.g. INCOSE, MBSE, SysML)
- Experience in requirements engineering and configuration management
- Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (e.g. ISO standards, MIL standards, DoD MIL-STD-498, depending on the application area)
- Very good command of German and good command of English, both written and spoken
- Strong analytical and cross-system thinking skills
- Structured, independent and solution-oriented approach to work
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills
