Your role

  • Systems engineering for command, control, weapon and mission systems (C4ISR) in the field of software and hardware development
  • Analysis of customer requirements and derivation of system, subsystem and component requirements
  • Creation and maintenance of system specifications, interface descriptions and architectural concepts
  • Development and integration of software and hardware components into complex overall systems
  • Execution of system design, system modelling and system architecture activities (e.g. MBSE)
  • Planning, coordination and execution of integration, verification and validation activities
  • Technical coordination with internal departments and disciplines (software, hardware, mechanical engineering, testing and quality)
  • Support in the preparation of proposals and effort estimations
  • Technical management and support of subcontractors and partners
  • Participation in system acceptance activities, technical reviews and customer presentations
  • Ensuring and documenting system functionality and performance

Your qualifications & knowledge

  • Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a comparable field
  • Several years of experience in systems engineering of complex technical systems
  • Solid knowledge of software and/or hardware development
  • Experience with command, control and weapon systems or safety-/mission-critical systems is an advantage
  • Knowledge of systems engineering methodologies (e.g. INCOSE, MBSE, SysML)
  • Experience in requirements engineering and configuration management
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (e.g. ISO standards, MIL standards, DoD MIL-STD-498, depending on the application area)
  • Very good command of German and good command of English, both written and spoken
  • Strong analytical and cross-system thinking skills
  • Structured, independent and solution-oriented approach to work
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills
