The position holder (m/f/d) works as a Manufacturing Engineer in Technical Shop Floor Support at Airbus. The ME Technical Shop Floor Support department serves as the interface between Manufacturing Engineering in Design and Production. The department is responsible for resolving technical issues related to structural, electrical, and mechanical components and systems that arise during production for all Airbus programs manufactured in Hamburg (A320, A330, A350).
- Identification, analysis, and resolution of recurring technical problems
- Ensuring optimal work results through collaborative planning, production control, and process design
- Active participation as an integral part of the autonomous production team to achieve company goals in the respective area
- Ensuring continuous improvement of operational and production processes
- Addressing and resolving nonconformities in ongoing production during daily shift operations, taking into account design specifications and technical regulations
- Creating and managing work orders to eliminate nonconformities in production
- Searching existing IT systems for drawings, references, components, tools, and technical documentation
- Documenting, coordinating, and assigning outstanding work at assembly sites or on individual aircraft sections
- Coordinating with operational purchasing regarding material procurement
- Analyzing, monitoring, and communicating the current status of missing parts to production and assembly sites during regular team meetings
- Coordinating and overseeing partner-related issues (structural rework)
Your qualifications & knowledge
- Completed vocational training + continuing education as a technician, a college degree, or equivalent
- At least 2 years of professional experience in work planning, production, and manufacturing engineering required
- Good knowledge of process management and SAP required
- A structured, team- and project-oriented approach to work, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively
- Confidence in handling changing priorities
- Business-level German and proficient English are absolutely required
